Sherbrooke, February 13, 2025 – Due to the rise in influenza outbreaks and the high circulation of respiratory viruses, a new directive now mandates the use of masks for staff and visitors in specific healthcare facilities across Estrie.
Masks are required upon entering the following units:

Sherbrooke has been particularly impacted in long-term care settings, but the situation remains concerning across the Estrie region, justifying this new mandate.

With a rise in cases across Quebec, it is essential to maintain good hygiene habits: ✔️ Wash hands regularly 🧼
✔️ Wear a mask if experiencing symptoms 😷
✔️ Keep distance from vulnerable individuals ↔️
✔️ Get vaccinated to protect yourself and others 💉
This directive aims to protect healthcare workers and vulnerable populations, while limiting the spread of respiratory infections in the region.
