Sherbrooke, October 20, 2025 — Sherbrooke Police arrested five drivers over the weekend for impaired driving, following multiple incidents across the city.
The first arrest occurred just before 1 a.m. Saturday when a 46-year-old man lost control of his vehicle near Highway 410 and rue du Collège. He was found to be nearly twice over the legal limit.
Later Saturday evening, around 7:30 p.m., police stopped a 74-year-old man on boulevard Queen-Victoria for erratic driving. He failed a breathalyzer test and faces charges of impaired driving.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, around 3 a.m., officers patrolling Rock Forest stopped a 42-year-old man whose driving appeared erratic. He also failed the approved screening test and was arrested.
At roughly the same time, a roadside checkpoint on Galt West and Bowen South led to the arrest of a woman who was found to be impaired by drugs.
Finally, at 3:20 a.m. Sunday, police arrested a 64-year-old man on King Street Ouest after noticing he was stopped at a green light. He later tested more than double the legal alcohol limit.
All five drivers had their licenses suspended, their vehicles impounded, and will face impaired driving charges in court.
