Sherbrooke, December 6, 2024 – This December, the Ville de Sherbrooke invites everyone to embrace the festive spirit with a variety of activities that showcase Sherbrooke’s winter charm.

The Elves Return to Centreville (downtown)

The much-loved chasse aux lutins (elf hunt) is back for its fifth year, running from Saturday, December 7, 2024, to Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

This year features two unique trails:

  • The mischievous world of elves along Rue Alexandre
  • The magic of the holidays on Rue Wellington Nord

Participants can join in by solving riddles online at chasseauxlutins.com or with printed questionnaires available at the Tourist Information Office.

Prizes are up for grabs, generously offered by participating businesses. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ville de Sherbrooke, is supported by downtown merchants and the Marché de la Gare.

A Sparkling Tour Through Sherbrooke’s Neighborhoods

The Balade scintillante returns, lighting up Sherbrooke from December 7 to 31, 2024.

A digital map of the most beautifully decorated homes and businesses will be available at scintillante.ca, where residents can register their displays until December 13.

Discover Sherbrooke’s most enchanting neighborhoods by following a preset route, creating your own, or simply wandering through the city’s festive lights.

A Hit with Winter Guided Tours

Every Saturday from December 7 to 21, hop aboard the Sherbus des Fêtes for a magical guided tour.

This two-hour experience includes stops at Sherbrooke’s Marché de Noël and other enchanting spots, featuring local gift ideas, public markets, and a touch of history. Tours depart from the Tourist Information Office at 785 Rue King Ouest.

The tour is free with a donation of non-perishable food items to Moisson Estrie. Spaces are limited, so reserve online at sherbus.com or by calling 819-821-1919.

Celebrate the holidays in Sherbrooke and discover its festive magic!
