Sherbrooke, September 13, 2024 – The Sherbrooke Police Service (SPS) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Mr. Renald Tanguay, who was last seen leaving the Fontaine Residences, located at 215 4th Avenue South, on Thursday, September 12, around 12:30 p.m. for a walk. He did not return that night and was not seen at the residence throughout Friday, raising concerns among the staff.
The investigation has revealed that Mr. Tanguay was last seen Thursday evening at the Shooter Bar, located at 720 King Street East. Police have reasons to be concerned for his health and safety and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Mr. Tanguay is known to frequent bars and small restaurants in the eastern part of the city. The police investigation division, assisted by patrol officers, is currently working to locate him as quickly as possible.
Anyone with information or possible sightings is asked to contact the Sherbrooke Police at 819-821-5555. In case of emergency, dial 911.
Update September 13, 2024 at 11:00pm: The Sherbrooke Police Service is pleased to report that Mr. Renald Tanguay, who was reported missing earlier today, has been located safe and sound in Coaticook. His discovery was made possible thanks to the widespread sharing of information on social media.
