Sûreté du Québec Seeking Missing 65-Year-Old Man Last Seen on Lake Stukely *UPDATE FOUND DECEASED

EASTMAN, QC. Aug. 31, 2026 — The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 65-year-old Pierre Desrochers of Montreal, who went missing in the Eastman area.

Desrochers was last seen on August 29 at approximately 5:30 p.m. in a watercraft on Lake Stukely.

Physical Description:

• Height: 5’8″ (1.75 m)

• Weight: 190 lbs (86 kg)

• Hair: Grey

• Eyes: Brown

Anyone who spots Pierre Desrochers is urged to immediately call 911.

In addition, any confidential information that could help locate him can be reported to the Sûreté du Québec’s Criminal Information Center at 1-800-659-4264

The body of a man, formally identified as Pierre Desrochers, was located and pulled from the waters of Lake Stukely late Monday afternoon. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation by the coroner’s office will take place to determine the causes and circumstances of this drowning.
