SHERBROOKE April 1, 2026 — The Sherbrooke Police Service (SPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 44-year-old Nicolas Laurent Salem, who has been reported missing under unusual circumstances.
While the missing person report was filed recently by his parents, investigators believe Mr. Salem may have actually been missing for several months, or potentially several years. According to police, he had previously cut off all contact with society.

Mr. Salem is known to change his appearance frequently, specifically his hair length and beard style. He has no known distinctive marks or tattoos.
Authorities note that his former residence in the East Sector of Sherbrooke has been emptied, and he no longer possesses a vehicle. He was last known to be in possession of his bank cards.
