September 19, 2025 – Lennoxville & North Hatley, QC — A full day of activities on Saturday, September 27, 2025 will celebrate the rich history and enduring legacy of English-language radio in the Eastern Townships.
Daytime in Lennoxville
CJMQ 88.9 FM will host a live outdoor broadcast in Lennoxville (weather permitting). Listeners and community members are invited to stop by, meet on-air personalities, and learn about ongoing efforts to sustain and strengthen community radio across the Townships.
Evening at The Piggery Theatre
At 8:00 p.m. the tribute continues at The Piggery Theatre in North Hatley. Hosted by Daniel Coulombe, the program revisits memories of CKTS Radio, highlights the evolution of local broadcasting, and spotlights CJMQ 88.9 FM as today’s voice of the Eastern Townships. The audience will be invited to ask questions and engage with radio figures past and present.
Confirmed guests include David Price, Bob Halsall, Ted Silver, Isaac Shane, Paul Desormeau, Frank Cavalarro, Bob Nag, David Atkinson, Scott Coates, David Teasdale, and more.
Admission is free, with a suggested donation at the door to benefit The Piggery Theatre. All are welcome to share in the stories, music, and memories that have shaped English-language radio in the region.
