Patterson outlines priorities as Brome Lake’s new mayor William Crooks
Sherbrooke, July 7, 2025 – A violent incident occurred this morning around 10:10 a.m. on Léonidas Street in Sherbrooke, where a 60-year-old man was reportedly stabbed by his neighbour.
According to police, the victim called 9-1-1 after suffering a neck wound. Emergency services were quickly dispatched, and the victim was transported to hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police arrived on the scene and immediately arrested the suspect, a 58-year-old man, who was still inside the same building. He is known to police and is currently in custody. He may face charges of armed assault.
The area around the crime scene is now secured by patrol officers. Throughout the day, investigators and a forensic technician will be on site to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
