Sherbrooke, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 – The City of Sherbrooke is strengthening its commitment to the arts by allocating $85,000 in financial assistance to 16 artistic projects as part of the Programme de bourses aux artistes de Sherbrooke – 2024-2025 edition. Recognizing Cultural Dynamism

For Évelyne Beaudin, Mayor of Sherbrooke:

“Culture is at the heart of our identity. It brings us together and fuels our creativity. These 16 projects enrich our community and showcase our talent far beyond Sherbrooke’s borders.”

Nancy Robichaud, President of the Commission de la culture, des loisirs, des sports et du plein air, adds:

“This edition marks an important transition with an increase in grants and the addition of service-based funding. We are laying the foundation for a more ambitious program that will mobilize new partners and provide greater support for our creators.”

With these initiatives, the City of Sherbrooke reaffirms its commitment to encouraging artistic expression in all its forms, allowing local artists to fully develop their potential. Citizens are invited to discover and celebrate the cultural richness of the region.
