Vehicle Theft Suspect Arrested in Sherbrooke

Sherbrooke, December 17, 2024 – Early this morning, around 4:00 AM, Sherbrooke police arrested a 48-year-old suspect from Victoriaville in connection with a stolen vehicle.

Following information provided by the Sûreté du Québec regarding a stolen truck reported in Compton, patrol officers located the vehicle traveling on Highway 55 North/10 East. The suspect stopped the vehicle at kilometer 62 and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by police.

The suspect will be interrogated and faces potential charges, including:

• Vehicle theft
• Obstruction of a peace officer
• Breach of release conditions
• Breach of probation
• Possession of narcotics
• Break and enter
