On February 13, 2025, CJMQ and the world will celebrate World Radio Day, focusing on the theme “Radio and Climate Change”. This year, UNESCO highlights the essential role of radio in raising awareness about climate issues and promoting sustainable actions.
As part of the celebrations, UNESCO is offering a networking experience and valuable resources to help broadcasters and communities engage with climate-related topics.
To mark the occasion, tune in for a special three-hour broadcast from 11 AM to 2 PM, exploring the importance of community radio and its role in addressing climate change. The program broadcasted live from the Canada Council for the Arts in Ottawa will feature expert discussions, real-world stories, and actionable insights on how radio can drive environmental awareness and solutions.
