Suspicious Fire in Sherbrooke

Sherbrooke, October 16, 2024 – Emergency services were called to 769 King George Street around 7:20 a.m. to respond to a fire. Police and firefighters quickly took control of the situation, and paramedics were also on site as a precaution, though no injuries were reported. The building, which was under renovation, had no occupants at the time.

Firefighters were able to swiftly contain the fire, minimizing damage. The fire is being considered suspicious, and police officers are currently securing the scene.

Throughout the day, investigators and forensic technicians, assisted by a fire inspector, will be on-site to begin a formal investigation.
