Suspect Still Wanted In Connection to the Homicide of Junior Mouckagni Bouelili

Lac-Brome, Quebec, June 11, 2025 – Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the March 2, 2025 homicide of Junior Mouckagni Bouelili, age 29, but a third suspect is still on the run, according to the Sûreté du Québec.

On the night of March 2nd, around 9:45 p.m., police from the Brome-Missisquoi detachment responded to a call about a vehicle fire on Moffat Road in Lac-Brome. Inside the burned vehicle, officers discovered the lifeless body of the victim. Investigators later confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen. A homicide investigation was immediately launched.

Following a detailed crime scene analysis, investigators identified three suspects in the case. On June 11, armed with arrest warrants, police arrested two individuals in their twenties – one man and one woman. Both remain in custody and will appear in court at the Granby courthouse.

However, a third suspect is still at large. Police are actively searching for Édouard Côté, a 21-year-old man from Sherbrooke, who may currently be in the Estrie or Montreal areas.
