Complete Closure of Highway 410 This Weekend for Darche Interchange Work

Sherbrooke, October 24, 2024 – The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has announced that Highway 410 in Sherbrooke will be completely closed in both directions from Friday, October 25, at 9 p.m. until Monday, October 28, at 6 a.m. The closure will occur between exits 2 (Portland Blvd.) and 6 (Université Blvd.).

This closure is necessary for planing and paving work on Highway 410 and its entry and exit ramps at the site of the new Darche Interchange. In addition to the paving, lane markings will be completed.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Detour routes will be clearly marked with temporary signage. The Ministry thanks the public for their cooperation during this time.

Work schedules and closures may change due to operational constraints or weather conditions. Drivers are encouraged to check Québec 511 for up-to-date information on road closures.

Additional Notes:

• Crews will also carry out repair work on the Maurice-Gingues Bridge, located on Highway 410 over the Magog River. This bridge, built in 1972, carries about 46,000 vehicles daily, 7% of which are trucks.
