Lennox Stars Fundraiser Showcases Emerging Talent in the Eastern Townships

OCTOBER 20TH, Lennoxville – Two Bishop’s University graduates are bringing local talent into the spotlight through Lennox Stars, a fundraising competition held October 16 at Bandeen Hall in Lennoxville.

Lianna Roque and Romina Recalde founded the English Language Theatre Company (ELTC) after recognizing the limited professional opportunities available to performing arts graduates in the Eastern Townships.

During an interview with CJMQ 88.9 FM’s Good Morning Townships, the organizers explained their ambition to establish a nonprofit theatre company that creates employment opportunities for emerging artists while strengthening English-language theatre locally.

Lennox Stars featured local singers competing before music industry professionals Patrick Cameron and Fred LeBlanc.

Contestants competed for career-building opportunities, including a visit to Planet Studios and professional training through Triple Threat Academy.

Attendees could also participate in a raffle featuring Montreal Canadiens tickets and a silent auction supported by regional sponsors.

Funds raised through the event will help ELTC officially incorporate as a nonprofit, providing greater access to grants and future artistic projects.

The initiative reflects the founders’ commitment to developing local talent and building stronger connections between emerging performers and the professional entertainment industry.
