Mont Sutton, October 16, 2025 – XLTRAX Productions has officially announced the launch of XLTRAX Academy, a new mobile training project offering free DJ and music creation workshops for youth aged 15 to 29 in the Eastern Townships.

Supported by Le Fonds Mille et Un (FM1) — a joint initiative between the Secrétariat à la jeunesse du Québec and La Ruche Estrie — the project aims to raise $15,000 to equip its mobile academy and expand music education access for young creators.

🎚️ Hands-On DJ Experience at Mont Sutton

The first free event takes place on October 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mont Sutton, featuring:

DJ mixing sessions with professional controllers and turntables

Music production workshops using Ableton and Cubase

Sound design and podcast creation tutorials

Guest speakers from the local music and broadcasting community

Live DJ sets, open jam sessions, and community networking

Participation is free of charge, and attendees can also receive free lift tickets courtesy of the organizers and local partners.

🚀 Supporting Local Youth Talent

The XLTRAX Academy project is designed to help youth discover creative careers in DJing, production, and broadcasting while connecting them with mentors and opportunities across the region.

Community members and businesses can support the initiative by contributing through La Ruche Estrie, helping fund equipment, training sessions, and youth outreach.

“Our mission is to inspire young people to express themselves through music and technology,” said Audrey Cabana, Co-Founder of XLTRAX Academy.
“These free sessions give them the tools, confidence, and space to create.”
