Farnham, April 15, 2026 – Have you ever dreamed of attending a live flamenco performance? Now is your chance! As part of its 150th-anniversary celebrations, the City of Farnham presents: Rite by the acclaimed company La Otra Orilla.
This performance is presented in collaboration with Le Vaisseau d’Art, an organization that has spent the last three years bringing unique, “off the beaten path” classical music performances to the Farnham community.
A Modern Take on Tradition
Based in Montreal, La Otra Orilla was founded twenty years ago by Quebec dancer and choreographer Myriam Allard alongside Franco-Tunisian director and singer Hedi Graja. Together, they take the traditional roots of flamenco and transform them through a lens of diverse artistic and cultural influences, offering an experience that is both exotic and deeply moving.
In their production Rite, the company delivers the captivating power of a ritual. The performance creates a shared communion between the artists and the audience—a harmony of hearts, breath, and souls that showcases flamenco at its most sacred.
Allard and Graja will be joined on stage by Caroline Planté on guitar and Miguel Medina on percussion. Prepare your eyes and ears for a vibrant, high-energy show that promises to delight audiences of all ages!
