Investigation Underway Following Gunfire at Sherbrooke Residence

Sherbrooke, December 30, 2024 – Late Saturday evening, around 11:30 PM, a resident of Descoteaux Street contacted the Sherbrooke Police Service to report hearing possible gunshots in the area.

Police officers were quickly dispatched to secure the scene and locate the source of the disturbance. Upon arrival, officers discovered bullet impacts on a residence located on Descoteaux Street. The occupants of the home were immediately secured and relocated for their safety.

Overnight, a security perimeter was established to protect the evidence at the scene. Throughout Sunday, investigators and a forensic identification technician from the Sherbrooke Police as well as a police canine unit from the Sûreté du Québec were deployed to advance the investigation.

The Sherbrooke Police Service has reassured the public that the investigation is progressing. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
