Sherbrooke, October 28, 2024 – This Halloween, the iconic Rock Forest water tower is delighting the community with a spectacular seasonal transformation, thanks to the efforts of local business leaders and city officials. Spearheaded by Entreprendre Sherbrooke’s commercial advisor, Eric Gauthier, the water tower now lights up as a giant pumpkin, showcasing both charismatic and spooky versions.
In an interview with CJMQ’s “Reaching Out to the Community” hosted by Derek Bullard, Eric Gauthier expressed his gratitude to Sherbrooke’s officials, police, and local entrepreneurs, who contributed two-thirds of the $4,000 project cost. Local businesses like Ô Masculin BarberShop & Ô Féminin Coiffure, Le Prohon, Volkswagen, Audi and Subaru Sherbrooke, alongside the city, supported this initiative, with projections courtesy of Cookshire’s L’inconnu dans le Noir.
Gauthier emphasized the importance of this project to showcase Sherbrooke’s seasonal spirit while maintaining driver safety, as the image remains static. The two versions of the pumpkin will rotate through October 31, with displays every evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Looking ahead, Gauthier hinted at future holiday-themed projections for the Rock Forest water tower.
