Arrest for Break-in and Vehicle Theft in Sherbrooke

Sherbrooke, September 22, 2024 On the night of Friday to Saturday, around midnight on September 22, 2024, witnesses reported a man attempting to steal a vehicle at a business on 5473 Bourque Boulevard. They provided an accurate description of the suspect. Police quickly responded, and officers located a crashed vehicle in a ditch near Occasion Beaucage.

While searching, the police found the suspect, who matched the description. He attempted to steal three vehicles, causing thousands of dollars in damage. The 44-year-old man, known to the police, was arrested for break-in, vehicle theft, impaired driving, and possession of burglary tools. He appeared in court on Saturday and was transferred to a detention center awaiting further proceedings.
