The Stage is Set For The Quarterfinals

Sherbrooke, February 3, 2025 – The stage is set as we now know the teams that have qualified for the quarterfinal round of the Regional Hockey League.

Les Constructions Côté from Louiseville (7th) defeated the Lumberjacks in East Angus (10th) by a score of 5-2, while the DLC from La Guadeloupe (8th) overcame the Nordik Blades in Val-des-Sources (9th) by the same score.

In East Angus, Donovan Morin-Bouchard, Hugo Ricard, and Sammy Dubois scored unanswered goals in the second period to secure the victory for Louiseville.

Once again, the start of the game was very tight, with tied scores of 1-1 and 2-2 before the visitors netted three consecutive goals.

Pier-Olivier Marcoux and Mathieu Michaud scored the other goals for Louiseville, while Olivier Lefebvre and David Lessard responded for the Lumberjacks.

The Lumberjacks directed 41 shots toward Olivier Leclair, while Benjamin Launière faced 43 shots.

In Val-des-Sources, third-period goals from William Jacques and William Saint-Laurent sealed the victory for the DLC from La Guadeloupe, who eliminated the Nordik Blades in two games.

All other goals in this match were scored in the first period, with Jean-Sébastien Breton, Xavier Grondin, and William Jacques netting for La Guadeloupe.

William Pilon and Vincent Éthier scored the final two goals of the season for the Nordik Blades.

The DLC players fired 34 shots at Drew Morin, while Luka Lamontagne faced 25 shots.

The best-of-seven quarterfinal round will begin this Friday, February 7, at 8:30 PM with the following matchups:

• La Guadeloupe (8) at Windsor (1)
• Louiseville (7) at Daveluyville (2)
• Saint-Cyrille (6) at Lac-Mégantic (3)
• Coaticook (5) at Princeville (4)
