Lennoxville, December 2, 2024 – Sherbrooke welcomed the holiday season in grand style at Square Queen on Saturday, November 30th, as families and friends gathered for a day filled with festive joy. Santa Claus’s arrival was the highlight, delighting children and marking the start of the holidays. Local choir Chorale du Cégep de Sherbrooke set the mood with their enchanting harmonies, while the Lennoxville holiday market offered crafts, treats, and plenty of community connections.
The day also showcased inspiring initiatives, including the Lennoxville and District Women’s Center’s Secret Santa program, aimed at helping families in need during the holiday season. With applications open until December 10th, the program emphasizes the community’s generosity. Champlain College also celebrated surpassing its $8,000 fundraising goal for sarcoma cancer research, doubling its previous year’s efforts.
Claude Charron, Lennoxville Borough President, highlighted upcoming events like February’s Winter Fun Day, ensuring the festive spirit continues. Hosted on-air by CJMQ’s Daniel Coulombe and supported by the city and local businesses, the event captured the essence of togetherness and holiday cheer.
