Sherbrooke, March 9, 2025 – The JB de Daveluyville secured a strong win against Sauro de Lac-Mégantic, while the semi-final series between Windsor and Coaticook is now tied 2-2 in the Ligue régionale de hockey (LRH) playoffs.

Daveluyville Takes Commanding Win Over Lac-Mégantic

In Lac-Mégantic, after a scoreless first period, Daveluyville took control in the second, grabbing a 3-1 lead and eventually winning 4-2.

  • Key second-period goals helped Daveluyville secure the advantage, and a late third-period goal sealed the victory.
  • Lac-Mégantic responded with goals in the second and final minutes of the game, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.
  • Goaltender Alexandre Caron faced 29 shots, while Justin Fréchette stopped 25 for Lac-Mégantic.

Thrilling Overtime Win for Coaticook Ties Series Against Windsor

Meanwhile, in Coaticook, an overtime thriller saw Dynamik Service Agricole claim a 5-4 win over Desjardins-Wild de Windsor, evening the series.

  • Windsor scored first in the opening period, but Coaticook responded with three quick second-period goals, taking a 3-1 lead.
  • Windsor rallied back, tying the game in the final minutes and forcing overtime.
  • With just one second left in overtime, Coaticook found the net, securing the dramatic win.
  • Windsor dominated shots on goal, firing 55 shots at Philippe Dion, while Kevin Tardif faced 43 shots for Windsor.
