OCTOBER 20TH, Sherbrooke – Sherbrooke-based Inglasco is celebrating its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of supplying hockey pucks to professional leagues worldwide.
President Anita Chandan reflected on the company’s evolution, dedicated workforce, and growing international presence.
Originally established by the Drolet family, Inglasco has expanded beyond hockey, securing licensing agreements with major sports organizations, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, and FIFA.
Chandan emphasized the importance of maintaining operations in Sherbrooke, where employees have dedicated decades to the company, including one celebrating 50 years of service.
She explained that Inglasco’s success comes from its people, whose experience and commitment to quality cannot easily be replicated elsewhere.
Despite economic challenges from American tariffs, the company continues supplying professional hockey leagues while exploring opportunities in European markets.
During Stanley Cup playoffs, Inglasco can manufacture approximately 1,500 pucks per hour on a single machine to meet demand.
Looking ahead, Inglasco remains committed to supporting local sports, including Université de Sherbrooke’s Vert & Or hockey team, reinforcing its longstanding relationship with the Eastern Townships community.
