SHERBROOKE, October 20, 2026 — Théâtre du Double Signe has announced the postponement of its English-language performances of Ismène, originally scheduled for October 21 and 22, 2026, at Le Grand-Espace in Sherbrooke.

According to an official social media post issued October 19 on the Théâtre du Double Signe Facebook Page, the performances have been rescheduled to March 24, 2027, at 7:30 p.m., due to circumstances beyond the theatre company’s control.

The bilingual initiative, developed in collaboration with Montreal’s Centaur Theatre, represents an important effort to bring theatrical productions to both French- and English-speaking audiences.

Despite the postponement, the company reports that its ongoing French-language performances have been well received, attracting hundreds of spectators.

Ticket holders affected by the schedule change have three options: exchange their tickets for the March 24 English performance, attend a French-language performance, or request a full refund.

The French performances scheduled for Friday, October 23, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, October 24, at 3 p.m., will proceed as planned.

Théâtre du Double Signe apologized for the inconvenience and thanked audiences for their understanding and continued support of the production.
