Sherbrooke, September 24, 2024 – Early this morning, around 2 a.m., witnesses called the police to report a vehicle crash at the roundabout of Highway 410 and College Street. They also mentioned that the driver and a passenger were throwing cans onto the road.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the driver still in the vehicle and quickly noticed that both the driver and the passenger were heavily intoxicated. After ensuring no one was injured, the police arrested the 28-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The man resisted arrest and assaulted the officers on site. As a result, he faces additional charges, including refusal to provide a breath sample, assaulting officers, and obstructing police work. He was detained due to his level of intoxication and will have to appear in court at a later date.
