CJMQ 88.9 FM, also available on 103.9 via Videotron and 104.7 on Cogeco cable systems, is the new voice of the Townships. We’ve proudly been on the FM dial at 88.9 since November 11, 1995, and continue to serve the community with a powerful broadcast reach that has expanded over the years. In June 1998, we increased our radiated power to 500 watts, allowing us to reach the greater part of the Eastern Townships. By 2007, CJMQ reached a significant milestone by boosting our output power to an impressive 2000 watts!

As a unique, locally produced English-language station, CJMQ offers more than just entertainment—we are a vital resource for local businesses, providing an effective advertising platform for commerces and merchants. As a not-for-profit organization, we are deeply committed to serving our community by delivering content that resonates with listeners of all ages and backgrounds.

Our station’s history is intertwined with Bishop’s University, which played a crucial role in the development of radio technology.
