Full Closure of Route 147 in Compton Due to Construction

Compton, September 30, 2024 – A section of Route 147 in Compton is closed for construction and will remain shut until October 18, 2024, according to the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. The closure is for the reconstruction of a culvert located between Compton and Coaticook. Motorists are being rerouted via Cochrane Road, while heavy vehicles must take a 16-kilometer detour via Routes 206, 251, and Moe’s River Road. Local traffic is permitted, and drivers are urged to follow speed limits and signage.
